So have you watched ‘Pretty Hard Cases’ on CBC or CBC Gem. I quite enjoy the two non-glamourous female leads’ intrepidness and insight into human nature. Maybe not enough ‘near death’ or gore to satisfy an addiction to cop porn, but while watching each episode I’ve imagined I’m learning something about how dangerous and mixed up it all can be and how ordinary and likeable some good cops are too~.

In reply to Pete Onstein. Yes, it is interesting how the rest of the world knows how to make cop shows that don't require gratuitous violence or scantily clad women to catch the viewer's attention. I'd add Broadchurch and New Zealand's Brokenwood Mysteries to this list.

Try ” Vera ” or ” Shetland “, as there are no scantily clad female cops, and there is some thinking going on.
